Car Parking

Bridge JFC, as a Club, need to insist that all visitors to our site ONLY park on the appropriate parking areas provided, or on the free Public parking facility at Tesco’s off Norden Rd.

We are a community club who are mindful of working with our neighbours and we want to ensure that they can gain access to their properties safely, and as a result we need to police parking at our site as best we can. Parking/Traffic wardens do patrol the area on Saturdays and you may find if you are parked illegally that you will come back to your vehicle and have a £70 parking ticket on it.

We are doing everything reasonably possible to ensure that car parking is being managed, that opposing teams managers and parents know they should park in the designated areas, and that people act responsible when visiting our site. We ask all coming to the club to park considerately, and to not cause issues with the local community, and especially to not double park on the access lane or park on the green opposite Tescos.

Please pass this on to your opposing teams and their families, suggesting that car sharing would help the matchday congestion we get on the car park, also advising our home supporters will do no harm for those of you who are relatively new to the club and are therefore unaware of this longstanding requirement.

For those who don’t know we ended up with a gridlocked car park recently because people just parked where they felt like without caring about who they blocked in or what chaos they caused, that caused a huge problem when we were trying to allow an ambulance access for an injured youngster who had torn ligaments.

When we ask for people to park responsibly, this is why, it is worth asking how they would feel if it was their child who needed treatment.

Can you help us by publicising car sharing, and the use of Tescos parking when arranging your home fixtures.

DO NOT PARK on the Public Green off of Norden Rd, Opposite Tesco’s or in any designated residents areas as you access the site.

People must not park on the Grapes Pub car park, however you can park on the Cricket Clubs car park on a matchday morning unless we advise otherwise

Matchday Litter

Whilst on community/neighbour issues can we also ask you, as managers, to take bin bags from the kitchen when at home (as part of your normal matchday preparation) and to ensure you bring your pitchside rubbish back to the skip on the car park.

It is a common community issue that we do not clean up after being on site (which we believe is unfair and inaccurate as most rubbish is, in our view, generated NOT from football attendance). In order for us to defend ourselves against any of this criticism we need you to help us by collecting ALL the rubbish your team generates.
